Moving again

I haven’t had a chance to draw much lately because I’ve been packing and/or stressing out about moving into my new apartment. Right now my sketchbooks and pens are actually in a box waiting to be moved this Saturday.

One of the best things about my new apartment though is that it’s relatively HUGE. I’ll have a whole room I can use for artwork, sewing, drawing and all my other various creative projects. I haven’t had a proper creative space for a long time so I’m really, really looking forward to it. So hopefully I’ll be producing all sorts of awesome stuff soon and posting them on here…

I had been working on the idea for this for over a week. Doing little sketches and just day dreaming about a giant sea monster attacking people and crawling out of the frame. I really like how it turned out.

Still can’t sleep. Figured I might as well just keep drawing. The colours on this picture look totally off from what I have sitting here in front of me… but oh well. One day I’ll get myself a proper scanner and I won’t have to stand on a chair with my camera under the light from my ceiling fan to get these drawings lit well enough at 3:00am in my tiny apartment…

(His name is Yorke because I’ve been on a Radiohead kick all evening).

Zzzz

I was just posting Ghlib and noticed the time… The post said it was just past 2:00am and at first I though “Oh the time is messed up on my posts…”

Then I noticed it was actually the right time… and I’m up way later than I thought…

THEN I looked at my last dozen or so posts on here and noticed that I basically only upload drawings between 12:00 and 2:00am…

I guess this more of less proves I’m a night person…

On a slightly unrelated note… I am super psyched about my new apartment and all the space I’ll have for art projects. Yay art projects… I think with some new space it will be time for me to experiment a bit more with different mediums… It’s about time I learn to paint and get back into sculpting I think…

Not really super happy with how this turned out. I wish I hadn’t used the dark blue. But oh well… live and learn!
